The company was formed when the Tanmed Group incepted as Tanmed Pharmaceuticals, a small formulations company in 1985. It has followed a multi-pronged strategy to integrate and maximize synergies with the planned execution of starting various new divisions and develop by consolidating its major strength in marketing to therapeutic niches.
The Group is headed by Mr. Ketchani Raajan, who is also the Treasurer of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PMA) and Executive Commitee member in Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA), and among the most respected names in South Indian manufacturing industry
